Even though many people don’t realise it daily life can be quite stressful for a child. Children can often feel pressure at school academically and socially as well as being presented with distractions, temptations and over stimulation. Yoga is very beneficial for them both physically and mentally. Yoga is great way to teach children self esteem and body awareness in a non competitive environment while also having lots of fun. Physically yoga will help increase children’s flexibility, strength, coordination and body awareness. It also improves balance, posture and alignment. Through relaxation exercises and breathing techniques children become more calm and relaxed inturn enhancing their concentration and focus.
