Mary Kelly Yoga
I have been teaching yoga for over 13 years, having fallen in love with the practice instantly. The beginning of my teaching journey manifested in the summer of 2012, when I completed my first 200-hour teacher training in Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga.
Since then, I have continued to deepen my knowledge through extensive ongoing education, including a 300-hour advanced teacher training, Yin Yoga training, Yoga Detour Method trainings, Mat Pilates, and many other workshops and courses. I am deeply passionate about the body and place great value on continually upskilling and growing—both as a teacher and as a lifelong student.
Nearly four years ago, I began journey working with sound, which has become a powerful and complementary extension of my movement-based teaching. Working with sound has deepened my understanding of the nervous system, rest, and the subtle layers of the body, allowing me to support students beyond the physical practice and into deeper states of relaxation, awareness, and restoration.
Learning never stops for me. I love asking the why behind movement, anatomy, and sensation so I can better understand the process. This curiosity allows me to teach from an informed, embodied, and educated place. My intention is to support my students in developing a deeper understanding of their own bodies and what it truly feels like to move well.
My classes are thoughtfully structured and well-rounded, balancing strength, mobility, mindful movement, flexibility, breath awareness, and relaxation. Whether through movement, breath, or sound, I aim to guide students on a purposeful journey—creating space for exploration, connection, and ease.
